The 18th annual Clay Berry Invitational Tournament is our second District tournament scheduled for the 2026 spring season. We encountered a last-minute change in our host locations two days prior to the start of the tournament. Thank you goes out to all the D33 Presidents who offered their fields, so that the kids could play. We were able to get all the games in, despite dodging a few rains drops along the way.
For many of the players, this is their first taste of the “next level” of baseball play, and without the help from the district staff and league volunteers, these players would not be afforded this opportunity, nor would the tournament have been the success that it was.
These District tournaments are not just for the players to get ready for the postseason, it also helps the managers and coaches know what to expect, what rules and guidelines to follow. The tournaments also help prepare the scorekeepers, in showing the importance of making sure every change is documented in the scorebook. These tournaments would not be possible without the all-around support from everyone, for that we say thank you.
Congratulations the Lake Murray Marlins for taking home the 18th Annual Clay Berry Invitational flag!
