Two fields, four days, eight teams, twelve games and one tournament champion. Congratulations to the San Carlos (Brooklyn) Dodgers for their hard-fought win over the Allied Gardens (Detroit) Tigers in the 2022 Clay Berry Invitational on Sunday afternoon, March 27.
This year’s tournament was graciously hosted by Murphy Canyon Little League & La Mesa National Little League under the careful guidance of District 33 Staff. While the games were not able to be played at the Little League Western Region Headquarters in San Bernardino as they have in prior years, keeping the tournament local proved to be a huge success.
Thank you to the parents, league volunteers, fans and everyone that helped to make these games happen. For many of the players, this is their first taste of the “next level” of baseball play, and without the help of our district’s hundreds of volunteers, these players would not be afforded this opportunity, nor would the tournament have been the success that it was.
